Frequently Asked Questions
What tint options are available?
We offer affordable carbon films to premium ceramic and nano-ceramic films in various shades to suit your style and needs. See our Services page for more information.
Do you offer mobile service?
Yes, we provide convenient mobile tinting at your location anywhere in Brisbane for your ease. There is no call-out fee within a 30km radius of Goodna.
If you're located more than 35km away, a call-out fee will apply, calculated based on the extra distance. Please contact us for a quick quote if you're unsure.
Is there a warranty on tinting?
All our tinting services come with a lifetime warranty, ensuring durability and peace of mind for your investment. The warranty covers issues like bubbling, peeling, fading, or cracking caused by product defects or installation faults. However, the warranty does not cover damage caused by actions, such as scratching, cutting, improper cleaning, or tampering with the film. To keep your warranty valid, we recommend following our aftercare instructions and avoiding any sharp or abrasive objects near the tinted windows.
You can book us online through the booking page. We require a $50 booking fee to secure your mobile tinting appointment. This ensures that our team can reserve the time, prepare materials, and dedicate the resources needed to bring our premium service directly to your doorstep. The fee is not an extra charge. It goes toward your total service cost, so you’re investing in your appointment, not paying more. We will send you an invoice with final payment details. If you have any questions, you can simply call us at 0494 342 654.
Booking process
Are there hidden fees?
No hidden fees; our pricing is transparent and affordable, with all costs clearly outlined before service. Usually the invoice will be sent to your email after consultation with our team.
What is window tinting and why should I consider it for my car in Brisbane?
Window tinting is the application of a thin film to your car’s windows to reduce heat, glare, and harmful UV rays. In Brisbane’s hot climate, it helps keep your car cooler, protects your interior from sun damage, and adds privacy and style. At 12TINT, we use NFX Nano Ceramic film from Tintforce, known for its advanced heat rejection and UV protection.
Can window tinting be done outside?
Yes, window tinting can be done outside, but the weather needs to be right. In Brisbane, strong sun, wind, or sudden rain can affect the quality of the tint. For the best results, we prefer to work in a double garage to keep dust and moisture away during installation.
If you don’t have a covered space, let us know. We’ll do our best to find a solution or reschedule if needed.
How do I care for my windows after tinting?
After your window tint is installed, you can drive right away. However, it is important to follow a few simple aftercare steps to ensure the film sets completely and last as long as possible.
Keep windows up: Do not roll your windows down for at least 3 to 5 days to allow the tint to fully cure and adhere.
A hazy or cloudy appearance is normal after tinting: The film is curing and should clear within 1-2 weeks, depending on the weather.
Avoid cleaning right away: Wait at least a week before cleaning the windows. When you do, use a soft cloth or microfiber towel and a non-ammonia-based cleaner.
Be gentle: Avoid sharp objects or abrasive cloths that could scratch the film.
How does the rental car service work?
We provide a complimentary rental car service for customers who wants to drop-off the vehicle at our garage located at Goodna and require transportation while their vehicle is being tinted. This service is subject to availability and must be requested in advance. The rental car is insured. However, the driver will be responsible for any damages incurred during use as well as the payment of the applicable insurance excess fee.
Is it normal to see small specks or bubbles under the tint after installation?
Although we take great care to ensure a clean and precise installation, it’s completely normal to notice small specks or tiny bubbles under the tint afterward. During the process, microscopic dust particles or a small amount of moisture can sometimes become trapped between the glass and the film. These minor imperfections are common and do not affect the tint’s appearance, performance, or durability. In most cases, any small moisture bubbles will disappear on their own as the film cures over the next few days.
